Those wavy, beach curls–who doesn’t love that look? I’ve always wanted to try it and have heard my friends try it before, but I had never done anything to my hair with a straightener other than just straighten it!
It’s actually pretty easy to learn once you get the hang of manipulating your and twisting the flat iron/straightener. The original blog post explains it all, but I will have to say that this is the 3rd time that I’ve done it and I’ve gotten faster each time I’ve tried it. Here is the photo I pinned:
Notes: It’s all about the product! Something I learned from my college dorm roommate–the hairstyle & its staying power is all about the product. I used the Garnier Fructus Surf Hair Texture Paste to set the waves/curls when I finished each section and at the end as needed. I also used a Wet-To-Straight flat iron which is only 1-inch wide, which makes each hair “ribbon”/section a little more curly than the tutorial above for wavy hair. Still looks cute nonetheless.
